What kind of
graduate opportunities exist at Honeywell?
Honeywell is seeking Engineering
graduates from a range of different disciplines including Mechanical,
Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical and Software Engineering in Sydney, Brisbane,
Melbourne, Perth and Tasmania. From time to time additional requirements may
arise depending on the needs of the specific business unit.
How do I
apply?
If you have visited the website
before and have an understanding of the different opportunities on offer, simply

Honeywell has selected Manpower as their graduate recruitment partner. Your
application information will be stored and reviewed through the Manpower
confidential database, and disclosed to Honeywell for the purpose of recruitment
activity only.
Can I make a paper-based
application?
The online applications are
preferred if you can access the internet, so please apply online. If you are
unable to access the internet or cannot complete our online application form for
any legitimate reason, please
contact our
representative so alternative
arrangements can be made.
I can't find anything
suitable. What do I do now?
Our recruitment campaign starts in February 2007. If there are no suitable
opportunities at present, then please re-visit the website again soon. You can
register your details including the types of roles you are interested in and
we'll then contact you if a suitable future vacancy arises.
Honeywell also has an apprenticeship scheme. We will begin recruitment for our
2008 intake towards the end of 2007.
What is the closing date
for applications?
The closing date for the 2008
intake is 20th April 2007.
How many graduates do you recruit?
Our numbers vary based on business
requirements. For graduates commencing in January 2008, we estimate we will have
about 20 - 25 vacancies across HBS,
HPS and HSC.
What are your minimum
requirements?
- Strong academic and non
academic achievement at university in an engineering related discipline
- Work experience - preferably
industry related
- Excellent communication skills

Do I need a work permit to apply?
Due to government immigration
policies you will need to be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia or New
Zealand.

When am I likely to start?
Most graduates will commence work
in January of each year. Start dates may vary slightly depending upon the needs
of the individual and Honeywell.
What training and
development do you offer?
No matter which part of Honeywell
you join, training and development is a priority. It's all about continuous
development of the individual, making sure you have the right skills to continue
innovating and pushing the boundaries in your role.
Technical training depends on the
business you join and the role you're in. Throughout our businesses, we tailor
training to the individual. Typically you'll receive a mixture of on-the-job
training and structured training with internal and external courses. It's worth
asking this question during the selection process.
What are the typical starting
salaries?
Your salary will depend upon the
role you go into and where you're based. We regularly benchmark our salaries
against the sectors in which we operate to ensure our salaries are competitive
both internally and externally.
Where will I be based?
Honeywell has offices in all state
capitals as well as Auckland, New Zealand. You may select your preferred choice
and we will do our best to accommodate you.
How is my performance reviewed?
To try and maintain our competitive
edge it's essential to encourage and realise the potential of every individual
within Honeywell.
On a day-to-day basis we promote
informal discussion and feedback throughout the company. In addition, Honeywell
has an annual performance review process that takes place in December. It offers
an opportunity to provide formal feedback concerning job performance, establish
learning plans, discuss career options and establish a career action plan.
